About the film
A short film that shoots in December 2023 about Terry Dobson, the first Westerner to learn aikido. One quiet afternoon on a Tokyo subway car, Terry jumps at the opportunity to disarm a belligerent passenger through a physical confrontation but learns from an elderly passenger that his approach is all wrong.
About the filmmaker
The film will be produced and directed by multi-award-winning filmmaker Mickey Lemle whose major films about The Dalai Lama, Ram Dass, the men who went to the moon and others, have mixed humor and style to move people’s hearts all over the world. He was called “Cinema’s Soul Man” by the Utne Reader.
